Opieka Candles began in 2021 with a simple yet meaningful vision: to make a difference in people’s lives through the power of candles and the journey of healing.
What started as a passion for creating candles with purpose became something much bigger. From the beginning, Opieka Candles was built on the belief that even the smallest gestures can create a meaningful impact. With every purchase, a portion of our profits was donated to NGOs supporting individuals impacted by domestic and sexual assault, allowing our community to be part of something greater.
Our purpose has always been about more than candles. It has been about creating moments of comfort, connection and light, even through life’s most difficult chapters.
From candle hire to full experience
In mid-2024, Opieka Candles entered a new chapter, expanding into candle hire for weddings, events and special occasions. What began as a candle brand evolved into a way for us to bring our love of atmosphere, detail and meaningful experiences into the spaces where people come together.
From intimate celebrations to grand occasions, candles became more than a product. They became part of the ambience, the memories and the moments that matter most.
Today, Opieka Events has grown beyond candles and hire to offer a more complete approach to events. From thoughtful styling and carefully curated details to end-to-end event planning, coordination and execution, we work alongside our clients to bring their vision to life.

With over 5 years experience in hospitality and event management, Maryja has built her reputation on something that can’t be templated or rushed: genuine care. Her approach isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about understanding people: how you want your day to feel, what matters most, and what needs to happen seamlessly so you can be fully present in it.
Maryja has worked across a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. She’s the person vendors trust, timelines rely on, couples and clients lean on when things feel overwhelming. And when the day arrives, she makes sure every moment lands exactly where it should.
